What You Will Be Doing:
• Develops and manages corporate safety and health programs that align with the overall strategy
• Manages relationships through multiple disciplines
• Interfaces with senior stakeholders and executive colleagues
• Mentors, coaches, develops, and encourages mutual feedback with direct reports
• Provides technical support to ensure regulations compliance to standardize ops processes
• Reviews, implements and monitors change initiatives in optimizing a safety-first culture
• Serves as primary contact between executive, EHS teams, and regulatory bodies
• Implements and delivers procedures to maintain high quality customer expectations
• Communicates through internal and external channels in meeting short and long term goals
• Fosters a collaborative, productive, safe, and compliant environment
• Identifies areas of improvement in systems, quality, people, and processes
• Monitors key metrics in cost, reporting, and safety
• Oversees safety incidents, root cause, and preventative best practices
• Drives employee engagement with safety initiatives for three BUs (business units)

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in related discipline
8+ years of experience in EHS role in EHS, Risk, Ops or Safety
4+ years in EHS leadership
12+ years of experience in lieu of formal degree
Experience in supply chain is a plus, but not required
Deadline and compliance-oriented with a strong sense of prioritization
Working knowledge of stakeholder partnership roles in operations, supply chain, and business
Collaborative and motivational and communication to manage change, obtain buy-in, and foster commitment to a safety culture
Intermediate-Advanced proficiency in data-driven decision-making
Intermediate-Advanced experience presenting to field, technical, corporate, or regulatory agencies
Ability to travel 30% domestic

About the Company
Petty Marsh is partnering with our Communications client in search of a Corporate EHS Director responsible for prioritizing safety throughout the organization.
The Director will provide leadership to the EHS team of six (6) direct reports and (12) twelve indirect, while managing multiple projects that focus on safety, risk, and needs of the business from a corporate lens.
